NM 4 Roadway Rehab Project Begins May 29 In White Rock

WHITE ROCK – Travelers in the White Rock area may experience traffic delays as a roadway rehabilitation project on N.M. 4 is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 29.

The project will be conducted in two phases. Phase one will span from milepost 64 (Rover Boulevard) to milepost 66.7 (East Jemez Road) and is expected to take 2 days to complete, weather permitting.

Letter To The Editor: No More Geese At The Pond

It’s time to stop wasting money and energy on the geese at the pond. There are too many people around them, especially during the concerts, that they’re probably traumatized from.

I’ve seen multiple kids harass and throw stuff at them, people constantly trying to touch them, then be chased and bitten by them. I’ve seen multiple people hit and kick them once they start being chased. Plus, there is geese crap everywhere!

Send the last goose somewhere calmer and safer from the pond. The idea is great to have them, but it’s just not worth terrorizing and abusing a couple of birds. Read More

Christian Youth In Action To Lead Bible Club, Vacation Bible School In June & July

Twenty-one teens from Northern New Mexico are attending a Christian Youth in Action summer missionary training camp the first week of June. Then, they will be teaching six Vacation Bible Schools and one 5-Day Bible Club in June and July.  

The Clubs are free and open to children ages 4-12. They will feature Bible and missionary stories, songs, games, snacks, crafts, Scripture memory, contests and prizes.
