Los Alamos Chamber And MainStreet Programs To Offer New e-Gift Card

CHAMBER News:

In collaboration with Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District, the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is launching a new e-gift card program that will debut this Winter season.

The purchase of Chamber Checks will cease as of Dec. 1, and the Chamber and MainStreet will be able to offer an e-gift card. This process will be much faster for cashiers to process, and much more efficient for those who want to purchase a gift that supports a variety of local businesses.

Chamber Checks are being phased out, but for now are still being issued. They are good for six months from the issuance date. Read More

Aquatic Center Closed Oct. 26 For Pumpkin Splash Event

COUNTY News:

The Aquatic Center will be closed for public swimming Oct. 26 to host the Pumpkin Splash event. During this time, the main pool, therapy pool, and leisure lagoon will be reserved for event activities, and general public access will not be permitted.

The leisure lagoon will be the center of the Pumpkin Splash, where participants can dive in and pick their own pumpkins. Only parents or guardians accompanying a ticketed participant will be allowed entry to the pool area. Without a ticketed participant, entry will not be allowed.

County Records Office Closure Extended Through November

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Records and Information Management (RIM) office closure has been extended through the end of November due to unforeseen circumstances related to emergency utility infrastructure repair.  While the physical office at 1000 Central Ave., Suite 190 in the Municipal Building, is closed, the RIM staff continue to work remotely and are available by phone and email.

According to Records Manager Barbara Ricci, her team is processing records requests in accordance with the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA). Requests can be submitted online at
