NM Film Office: ‘The Line’ Begins Production In Las Cruces

SANTA FE — New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the feature film “The Line” has begun production in Las Cruces.
“We are thrilled to welcome ‘The Line’ to Las Cruces. In addition to showcasing our unique locations and talented crew, the film is providing some great opportunities for students to gain invaluable experience,” Las Cruces Film Liaison Andrew Jara said.

ALBUQUERQUE – The state is exploring how to expand a Santa Fe work-based learning program that connected young people with the leisure and hospitality industry to more communities.
The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) will begin the process of introducing a mirrored version of the “LevelUP!” program, tabbed “Level Up Your Career,” into Taos and Las Cruces to pilot the program before taking a statewide approach. Longtime Los Alamos Daily Post Reporter Bonnie Gordon has retired. In 2012, she helped launch the Post and worked for the paper as a reporter and graphic artist from 2012 until retirement.
“I’m proud to have been part of the Post … I think it’s a wonderful publication and a great asset to the community,” she said.
Gordon recalled how some 12 years ago while riding down the hill I mentioned that I was going to start a newspaper.
