ROBERT MICHAEL TRUJILLO June 3, 1978 – July 16, 2026

Rob Trujillo passed away of natural causes peacefully at home in Los Alamos March 17, 2026. Born to Michael Trujillo and Kathleen Fitzgibbon, Rob was a lifelong resident of Los Alamos; he graduated from Los Alamos High School and continued his education at the University of New Mexico.

Rob worked in the home improvement retail business for decades and was known to many as “Mr. fix-it,” due to his extended knowledge and experience. Rob also worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The New Mexico Food Pathways Program is seeking Letters of Interest (LOI) from organizations and retail enterprises interested in reimbursement-based funding for projects that improve food access in underserved communities.

Project Focus Areas Include: 

  • Expanded access to healthy, affordable staple foods
  • Improved economic viability of rural and community-based food retailers
  • Increased SNAP-authorized retail capacity
  • Enhanced cold chain, storage, and food safety infrastructure

OBAE Funds Laptop Distribution To Close Digital Divide

ALBUQUERQUE — In the last six months, a state-funded pilot program put laptop computers in the hands of 170 New Mexico families across 33 communities—many of them receiving their first personal computer—and delivered nearly 1,600 digital training sessions to help them use it.

Unemployment Insurance Operations Center Closed Today

ALBUQUERQUE — All New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions’ offices, including the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center, will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

The Unemployment Insurance Tax & Claims System (www.jobs.dws.nm.gov) is available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customer Service Agents in the Unemployment Insurance Operations Center will be available when business hours resume at 8 a.m., Monday, July 6.
