The Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra awarded four scholarships to Los Alamos High School Seniors in 2026. These scholarships recognize seniors who have demonstrated exceptional interest and accomplishments in music. The student must attend Los Alamos High School or live in Los Alamos County. The scholarships are intended to encourage the recipients to continue their musical activities, regardless of whether they pursue music as a career. SANTA FE — New Mexico Association of REALTORS (NMAR) reports that New Mexico’s housing market remained steady in April 2026, with statewide sales totaling 1,702 transactions, a slight decrease from March’s 1,738 sales as the market settled following a strong early spring surge.

DALLAS, Texas – On Wednesday evening, April 29, 2026, John Cappis, age 84, quietly passed away of natural causes following an 18 year battle to still have a quality life after suffering a traumatic car accident and subsequent strokes.
