The Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities (DPU) has announced that the power is out for residents on Barranca Mesa and at Elk Ridge Moblie Home Park along East Jemez Road near the ecostation.
DPU crews are investigating.

Atomic City Transit regular scheduled bus service and para transit will not operate Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
Regular service will resume Tuesday Dec. 27, 2022.

Sidewalk Closure On Canyon At 39th Begins Tuesday Dec. 20
Weather permitting, Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division crews will be closing the sidewalk at the intersection of Canyon Road and 39th Street beginning Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the North side of Canyon Road at the intersection of Canyon Road and Diamond Drive.
Crews will be repairing a section of sidewalk. Heavy equipment will be located along the shoulder. Please approach the work zone with caution and obey all traffic devices.
Crews will begin work at 8 a.m. and finish by 3:30 p.m. daily.

Officials from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) are encouraging county residents to consider the impact of natural gas usage on their pocketbooks this winter as rising market costs are driving the local natural gas rate up.
