COVID-19 Omicron Booster Clinic For Ages 12+ Monday

Premier Medical Group (PMG) is holding another COVID-19 bivalent Omicron booster clinic in conjunction with Los Alamos County 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at First Baptist Church, 2200 Diamond Dr.

PMG will administer both the Pfizer Omicron booster to eligible individuals 12+ years and the Moderna Omicron booster for eligible individuals 18+ years. Since the Oct. 7 vaccine clinic, PMG is now authorized to administer the Pfizer booster to individuals under 18.

County DPU To Replace Sewer Lines On Sombrillo Court

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is starting a sewer line replacement project on Sombrillo Court with excavation to begin Monday.

DPU’s contractor is currently potholing there to locate existing sewer lines in preparation for the project.

Starting Monday, the entrance to Sombrillo Nursing & Rehabilitation Center will be narrowed while installing a new manhole in the area. Drivers will still be able to enter and exit but are asked to drive slowly and cautiously while entering and exiting the parking lot. It has not yet been determined how long the manhole Read More

White Rock’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Area Plan Goes To County Council For Approval Tuesday Oct. 18

Los Alamos County Council will conduct a public hearing to consider approval of Resolution No. 22-19 to accept the White Rock Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan. The hybrid hearing is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.  18 at White Rock Fire Station 3 at 129 N.M. 4.

The public hearing will begin with a presentation by the County’s Community Development Department (CDD) and its consultant Site Southwest and will include an opportunity for public comment. Los Alamos County Customer Care Center Assisting To Collect Information On CenturyLink Phone Outage From Customers Over Next Two Days

COUNTY News:

Some CenturyLink customers in Los Alamos County are reporting that their landline phones are down. The outage is not affecting the internet or VOIP phones.

To assist CenturyLink in pinpointing the problem to initiate repairs, Los Alamos County’s Customer Care Center is collecting names today and tomorrow of individuals experiencing the outage.

Neighborhoods that appear to be affected include North and Barranca mesas and the Eastern and Western areas.

County: 2022 Bandelier Shuttle Season Has Ended

Atomic City Transit (ACT) announced that today is the ACT Shuttle’s last day of operation to Bandelier National Park for the 2022 season.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 13, vehicles will be allowed to drive into the park while visiting. Bandelier National Park Visitor Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
