A portion of 40th Street in North Community is closed to through traffic for emergency water repairs today.
The work is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.
Signs warning motorists of the road closure are placed at the corner of Diamond Dr. and 40th St. as well as at Sycamore St. and 40th St. The affected portion of the streets is approximately in the middle of that street.

Council Seeks Letters Of Interest For LACDC Board
Los Alamos County Council is seeking to fill two vacancies on the board that governs the Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) non-profit organization.
The Council is afforded this opportunity due to an existing contracted agreement with the LACDC that provides the County two seats on the board.
Los Alamos residents 18 years or older have until Sept. 22 to submit a letter of interest to County Manager Steven Lynne.
