Road Closure: Water Repairs Underway In North Community Until 4 p.m. Today

 A portion of 40th Street in North Community is closed to through traffic for emergency water repairs today.

The work is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.

Signs warning motorists of the road closure are placed at the corner of Diamond Dr. and 40th St. as well as at Sycamore St. and 40th St. The affected portion of the streets is approximately in the middle of that street.

County: Atomic City Transit Route 3 Service Suspended Monday Through Sept. 30 Due To Lack Of Staff  

COUNTY News:

Atomic City Transit Route 3 service will be suspended for two weeks beginning Monday, Sept.19 through Friday, Sept. 30, due to lack of staff. 

Service to Entrada Drive, Bus Stop #570 Entrada Drive and Camino Entrada and Bus Stop #571 Entradra and Camino Entrada will be serviced by Route 1 with on-request service.

Riders are advised to notify the driver if they need to be dropped off at these stops. Customers wishing a pick-up from these locations should contact the ACT administrative office 505.661.7433 to request the service.

Los Alamos County Atomic City Transit Route 3 service was suspended beginning at 11:35 a.m. and for the remainder of today due to a shortage of staff.

Council Seeks Letters Of Interest For LACDC Board

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Council is seeking to fill two vacancies on the board that governs the Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) non-profit organization. 

The Council is afforded this opportunity due to an existing contracted agreement with the LACDC that provides the County two seats on the board.

Los Alamos residents 18 years or older have until Sept. 22 to submit a letter of interest to County Manager Steven Lynne.
