Los Alamos County is really big on recreational activities and various kinds of “Fests.”
Personally, my recreational activity or Fest is working on my vehicles. This is particularly the case as automotive shops typically charge $125 per hour for repair work.
The folks in Community Development (that is, Nuisance Code Enforcement) have suggested that automobiles need to be repaired in residential garages. County Community Development Department Seeks Public Input On Draft Metropolitan Redevelopment Area Plan

Los Alamos County Community Development Department (CDD) and its consultant Site Southwest invite the public to an open house to learn about the draft Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) Plan for White Rock.
The open house will be held at the White Rock Library Multi-Purpose Room, 10 Sherwood Blvd., Wednesday, Aug. 17.
Community members may drop by between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to ask questions and provide feedback on proposed strategies to drive catalytic projects in the downtown.
Proposed strategies include:

Los Alamos County Council voted 5-1 Tuesday night to terminate the economic development agreement between Los Alamos County and TNJLA LLC.
Councilor Keith Lepsch was absent, and Council Chair Randall Ryti cast the opposing vote.
