New Mexico COVID-19 Sept. 22 Update: 719 New Cases, Totaling 247,353 With 19 New Deaths And 216,688 Recovered

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced 719 new COVID-19 cases today in New Mexico.

Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today bringing the total to 646 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 19 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are: 

  • 212 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 51 new cases in Chaves County
  • 14 new cases in Cibola County

Los Alamos County Environmental Services Concrete And Asphalt Recycling Operations Halted For 30 Days

 

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos Environmental Services is working on issuing a new contractual agreement to continue the concrete and asphalt recycling operation.

Until this contract is in place, Los Alamos County Eco Station will not accept concrete or asphalt for  recycling or disposal starting Oct. 1, 2021 for 30 days.

Atomic City Transit will not operate Route 2M – Main Hill starting today, Sept. 20 through Friday, Sept. 24 due to a staffing shortage.
