The Democratic Party of Los Alamos Los Alamos (DPLA) hosted a Taco Tuesday fundraiser Tuesday at Bathtub Row.

Nearly 40 people heard from Los Alamos County Parks and Recreation Chair Trey Pereyra and enjoyed tacos provided by Muy Salsas.

Pereyra gave an introduction about his work and answered audience questions.

This summer, young people are going to help keep Los Alamos County running.

Starting June 28, the County is opening its doors and job positions to local and regional high school students in its first ever paid summer internship program for teenagers.

Council To Hold Closed Session To Interview Applicants For Los Alamos County Manager At Noon Thursday June 25

Visitation Changes For State’s Long-Term Care Facilities

NEW MEXICO — The State of New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department [ALTSD] announced today that the following visitation, activities and testing changes are now in effect for the state’s long-term care facilities (LTCs):

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 264 New Cases, Total 204,961 With 10 New Deaths And 193,574 Recovered Since Saturday

SANTA FE – New Mexico Department of Health officials have announced 264 new COVID-19 cases between Saturday, Sunday and today.

Los Alamos County reports 1 new case over the last three days bringing the total to 537 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 10 new deaths in New Mexico over the last three days related to COVID-19.

Two members of the Los Alamos County Council will host a booth at the Farmer’s Market 9-11 a.m. on the following Thursdays:

  • July 8;
  • Sept. 9;
  • Oct. 7; and
  • Oct. 28.

This is an informal setting open to residents who would like to stop by with comments or questions.

Bus Stop Closure Notice: Trinity-35th & Trinity-Timber Ridge

The Los Alamos County Atomic City Transit Department announces a temporary Stop Closure Notice for Stop #103 at Trinity Drive and 35th Street as well as Stop #104 at Trinity Drive and Timber Ridge closed during construction.

This closure will affect the Route 1 outbound trips from the Transit Center.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Friday that the state will fully re-open Thursday, July 1, which means that the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series will NOT be requiring attendees to have tickets.

More than 400 people had already signed up to attend since last Thursday!
