Council Weighs Whether To Purchase Reel Deal, CB FOX

The CB FOX and Reel Deal buildings are empty but the possibilities are endless for what could go into these properties, Los Alamos County Council learned Tuesday night during its regular work session

Los Alamos County is in a 90-day due-diligence period with the owners of these properties, Tigard Pacific RE, LLC and Trinity Los Alamos, LLC, as it weighs whether to purchase these two properties.

County Seeks Letters Of Interest From Community Members For NEW Racial Equity & Inclusivity Council Task Force

The Los Alamos County Council is seeking letters of interest to appoint up to seven community members who will be chartered with developing and recommending how the County can promote inclusivity and a feeling of belonging to the benefit of all and the betterments of the community.

County Issues Reminder On Sidewalk Clearing Guidelines

COUNTY News:

During the winter months, Los Alamos County would like to remind residents that it is important to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice so that they remain pass­able for postal workers, children walking to school and others who need to use them.

When possible, and depend­ing upon available resources, County crews will conduct sidewalk-clearing operations by removing snow first from the adopted “safe routes to school” and then move to other selected sidewalks. The County does not clear every sidewalk due to limited resources.

Los Alamos County Issues Update On Local Road Conditions

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Traffic Division reports Main Hill Road is snow packed and icy; motorists are urged to use caution.

Crews have assessed Camp May and report it to be very snow packed and icy – anyone visiting Pajarito Mountain today should use extreme caution when driving up Camp May Road.

No report yet on road conditions on the Truck Route.

Drivers are asked to slow down and use caution while snow control crews continue clearing main roadways of snow. Avoid travel unless necessary.
