Traffic Alert:
Los Alamos County announces that intermittent road closures on Canyon Road east of the Central Avenue intersection will be occurring 7 am to 4 pm. Feb. 3 through Feb. 12.
This location is adjacent to the United Church property. Closures will not block any property entrances.
The closures are to allow work on relocating a gas line in preparation for the start of the Kiddie/Multigenerational Pool Project.

T Board Meeting To Discuss Lighting On Diamond Feb. 4

Los Alamos County Transportation Board members requested a meeting to discuss lighting on Diamond Drive near the Los Alamos County Golf Course.
At the meeting, staff will lead a discussion on the history of lighting on Diamond, review the National Lighting Standards and the Los Alamos County Lighting Standards.
No action will be taken on this item.

LAPD Reminds Motorists: Slow Down In School Zones
LAPD News:
The Los Alamos Police Department wants to remind motorists to be aware of all school zones when the lights are flashing.
Students have started back to school 1:30-3:20 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Officers will be present during these times and take appropriate enforcement actions.

The COVID-19 situation in Los Alamos is beginning to improve and County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson reported during the Jan. 26 regular council meeting on efforts underway to administer vaccines to the local community.
