Los Alamos County reports 8 more cases today … the total is now 170 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Diamond Drive Vegetation Control Begins Tuesday Dec. 8

COUNTY News:

Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 10, the Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division of the Public Works Department will be trimming trees on Diamond Drive between Urban and 39th Street, as part of the County’s vegetation control.

Crews will be closing the right lane headed north on Diamond Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day of the project.

Vehicle traffic and pedestrians are urged to slow down and use caution in this work zone.

County Reminds Community To Pay First Half Of Property Taxes By Dec. 10 To Avoid Late Fees

COUNTY News:

Property owners in Los Alamos County are reminded that the first half of 2020 property taxes will become delinquent after next Thursday, Dec. 10.

Payment must be made by Dec. 10, postmarked by midnight of Dec. 10, or made online by 3 p.m. that same day to avoid late payment penalty and interest charges.

Because of the COVID-19 emergency and current “stay at home” executive order, property owners have options to either place payment envelopes in the drop box in the parking lot of the Municipal Building at 1000 Central Ave., or in the drop box in the Municipal Building lobby.
