LA WinterFest 2020 ‘Home For The Holidays’ Dec. 4-6

Los Alamos WinterFest 2020, “Home For the Holidays” will run this weekend, Friday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 6. 

Given new vehicle restrictions for events, as well as other factors, the planned Holiday Lights Display (a “reverse parade”) has been cancelled.

Festive holiday lights still adorn the streetlights and at Ashley Pond, and several local businesses will have holiday window displays downtown.

Aquatic Center 50-Meter/Therapy Pools Re-Open Wednesday

COUNTY News:

The Aquatic Center is happy to announce that the 50-meter pool and therapy pool will re-open on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Patrons may call the Aquatic Center at (505) 662-8170 to reserve a pool lane for lap swim starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Call one day ahead for reservations; for Monday reservations, call the Friday before. Reservations will be taken 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. There will be no walk-in reservations allowed and locker rooms are still not available.

Items to note:

  • Lane reservations are for 45 minutes and are limited to one per day.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.
