SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 1,180 additional positive tests for COVID-19.
Los Alamos County reports 1 more case today bringing the total to 85 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.
Today’s update includes 10 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:
- 335 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 61 new cases in Chaves County
- 31 new cases in Cibola County

Alert: Scammers Pose As DPU Threaten Service Shut-Off
Scam Alert:
Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) warn that several Los Alamos customers have received phone calls from someone claiming to be from the local utility company requesting immediate payment otherwise utility services will be terminated.
This is a scam!
As of March 2020, the DPU staff and the Board of Public Utilities resolved that no utility services would be shut-off for non-payment while the New Mexico Governor’s COVID-19 executive order remains in force.

ACT Dial-A-Ride For Essential Business Begins Nov. 16

Atomic City Transit is reducing transportation to a Dial-A-Ride service for customers who may need to perform essential business beginning Monday, Nov. 16.
Dial-A-Ride will be available 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
The reduction in service is in response to maintaining passenger safety by complying with public health order to “Stay at Home”.
In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order:

DPU Launches Utilities Self-Service Portal

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) has announced the launch of the Utilities Self-Service Portal.
Through the department’s Tyler Munis billing software, the self-service portal permits DPU customers, from their personal computers or tablets to:
- Manage account information;
- Access past and present utility bills;
- View payment history; and
- Make online credit or debit card payments by directing customers to DPU’s payment vendor: Paymentus.

Los Alamos Fire Marshal Lifts Level 1 Fire Restrictions
LAFD News:
Los Alamos Fire Department Fire Marshal Wendy Servey announced today that effective today she is rescinding Level 1 Fire Restrictions for Los Alamos County.
“We are fortunate that Los Alamos has received some significant moisture from snow storms in the past week, and more moisture is expected throughout the region,” Servey said.
