The Public Works/Traffic Division provides the latest updates on the following project:

N.M. 502 Road Construction/Roundabout:

In order to build the new Canyon Road connection, it is necessary to install an 8” waterline across N.M. 502 at Arroyo Lane. This will require a flagging operation, which is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

The plan is for Star Paving to complete construction of the Canyon Road connection and then close the existing Canyon Road at a time/date yet to be determined. More information will be available in the next Cone Zone.

County: First Half Of Property Taxes Due By Dec. 10

COUNTY News:
 
Los Alamos County mailed out the 2019 property tax bills earlier in November. The first half of property taxes will become delinquent after Tuesday, Dec. 10.
 
Payment must either be made in person at the Customer Care Center by 4 p.m., Dec. 10 or postmarked by midnight that same day to avoid late payment penalty and interest charges.
 
The Customer Care Center is in the Municipal Building lobby at 1000 Central Ave., and open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Payments also may be mailed to P.O. Box 99, Los Alamos, NM 87544.

Parks & Rec Reviews Recreation Capital Projects Nov. 14

The public is invited to attend the Parks and Recreation Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 in Room 110 at the Municipal Building. 1000 Central Ave.
