COUNTY News:Lois Eddleman A Major Force Behind Los Alamos County Fair Exhibition For Decades
Lois Eddleman, 93, was in the thick of things Thursday preparing for the County Fair Exhibition at Mesa Public Library. Eddleman has been part of the County Extension’s Fair Exhibition for decades and remains a major participant in the organizing, planning, judging and staging of the Exhibition. Eddleman also teaches piano and recruited several of her students to help out with the set-up Thursday for this year’s exhibition. Sidewalk Work: Yucca At Arkansas Begins Tuesday
COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County Public Works crews will be replacing sidewalks and handicap ramps at the intersection of Arkansas Avenue and Yucca Street beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13.
Crews also will be replacing a section of sidewalk at the entrance to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church on North Road.
This entire project is anticipated to be complete by Aug. 21.
Vehicles and pedestrians are advised to follow all traffic control devices and slowdown in the work zone.

Los Alamos Cares celebrates 25 years of service to Los Alamos County residents who qualify for the food pantry and all residents in need of rent and utilities assistance.
