Mesa Public Library Opens At 1 P.M. Wednesday Feb. 14 Fire System Testing

COUNTY News:

Mesa Public Library will open at 1 p.m. as opposed to the normal 10 a.m. opening on Wednesday, Feb. 14, due to Fire System Testing.

During this time, the public will not be allowed into the building due to frequent activation of fire alarmsThe County apologizes for any inconvenience.

Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone has released the calls for service and crime statistics for 2017 in Los Alamos County, which were prepared by the LAPD Records Section.

Esperanza Road Closure In Quemazon Jan. 29-30

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities has announced that weather permitting, crews with its natural gas division will close Esperanza Road at 9 a.m., Jan. 29 to all traffic between Quemazon and Brisa del Bosque. The closure will remain through Tuesday, Jan.30.

The Quemazon Montessori School is open for business and accessible from Brisa del Bosque.

The two-day road closure is part of a larger project to improve reliability of the natural gas system to the Quemazon community. Crews are installing two pressure regulating valves in underground vaults to preserve the viewshed. Read More
