Friends Of The Shelter Mobile Adoption Saturday

SHELTER News:
The Los Alamos Friends of the Shelter will be sponsoring a Mobile Pet Adoption 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, near Ashley Pond during the Los Alamos County Fair.
Stop by the event and meet some great dogs who are hoping to find a home with a special person or family. The Friends of the Shelter will have volunteers at the event eager to speak to the public about
individual animals.

Pets Of The Week: Pete And Stevie Nicks The Dogs

SHELTER News:
Pete and Stevie Nicks, a neutered male and spayed female 7-year-old Chihuahua crosses transferred to Los Alamos when the shelter in Taos had to lay off 17 employees due to insufficient funding. Both dogs are good with quiet adults and very gentle, quiet, older children. Both ignored the cats when given a tour of the cat room.
For their safety, they should not be left alone with larger dogs, whose play can become unintentionally rough.
