The Great American Backyard Campout is 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. June 13-14 at Overlook Park in White Rock.
Families are invited to participate in camping activities such as camping bingo, a nature scavenger hunt, star gazing, glow in the dark ring toss and more.
Bring a musical instrument for the chance to join in and create a classic camp song jam.

Clean Up Los Alamos Day Nets About 1,000 Pounds

What a Difference a Day Makes…
Results are in for this year’s “Clean Up Los Alamos Day” May 2 and the Los Alamos County Environmental Services Division reports that 200 participants in 25 teams were out and about cleaning up the local community.
The teams collected about 1,000 pounds of trash in one day and the County thanks the volunteers. Read More

This tortie cat with little tan paws was found roaming Sunday on Questa Street in Los Alamos.
She is safe at the Los Alamos Animal Shelter. She is very friendly. Her family must be missing her.

Community Soccer Field Temporary Closure June 8

The Community Soccer Field at 1670 Nector St., will be closed for Irrigation and Turf renovations beginning June 8.
This project is expected to take two months and is scheduled for completion Aug. 7.
