County Conducts Housing Survey
COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Community and Economic Development Department invites residents and other interested parties to participate in the Los Alamos Housing Survey. The purpose of the survey is to collect information regarding housing needs and priorities within the county and assist staff in the formulation of housing programs and activities.

The White Rock rock at the corner of N.M. 4 and Rover Boulevard has been temporarily moved in order to allow Century Link to safely raise a nearby manhole cover up to the existing grade.

Sept. 28 at 2:23 p.m. / A Santa Fe woman reported that she was battered on Trinity Drive.
Oct. 6 at 11:34 a.m. / A 56-year-old Los Alamos man reported that someone stole his credits card. The estimated loss is unknown.
Oct. 10 at 12:45 p.m. / Police arrested Aaron Gonzales, 42, of Santa Fe at 2500 Trinity Dr., and charged him with battery. Police are issuing him a summons to appear in court.

Police Alert Community of Stolen Checks
POLICE NEWS:
The Los Alamos Police Department has recently become aware of numerous cases where outgoing mail containing checks in residential mailboxes have been stolen.
The checks are then altered by the suspect, and cashed at local financial institutions. We are aware of mail that has been stolen in White Rock, Espanola and Santa Fe. Although the police department is currently working on leads in these cases, we urge community members to place outgoing mail into large post office mail drops or pay bills online.

Power Outage on Bryce and Connie Saturday
DPU News:
Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities officials reported a power outage Saturday affecting 32 customers in the neighborhood near Bryce and Canyon in White Rock.

15th Street Now Paved
Work is winding down on 15th Street, which is now paved. Valley gutters and drive pads are now in place but driveway accesses to business parking areas along 15th Street remain closed. This closure will last for 15 days to allow time to place forms, concrete, and cure time for the fresh concrete.
