As the Los Alamos Choir Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser heads toward its final weekend, the Choir Boosters thank the community for its strong support so far. The Boosters also want to let those who haven’t come by yet know that the Patch will remain open weekday afternoons and all day Saturday and Sunday until Oct.31, 2023. Open times will generally run from 3:30 p.m. to dusk weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekend, depending on staffing.

Nature Playtime With PEEC Resumes Beginning Oct. 30

PEEC News:

PEEC’s popular early childhood morning program, Nature Playtime will resume Monday, Oct. 30.

Nature Playtime meets 10-11 a.m. every Monday outside the Los Alamos Nature Center. The program provides an opportunity for toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers to come to the nature center and explore the natural world with PEEC’s educators.

The Los Alamos Music Teachers Association (LAMTA) presents some of the results of the 2023 Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico (PMTNM), NE-1 District, Honors music competition.

Topper Girls Soccer ‘Kick For The Cure’ Fundraiser Oct. 24

The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Girls Soccer Teams “Kick for the Cure” games scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Sullivan Field – including the 4 p.m. Varsity game against Taos and JV Game against Santa Fe – will raise funds for breast cancer through a raffle and chance to shoot on the goalkeepers.

It was previously announced that funds raised from these “Kick for the Cure” games would go to the Los Alamos Council on Cancer, but there has been a change in charity donation due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Hilltopper boys and girls varsity and JV cross country teams headed to Northglenn, Colorado to face a contingent of strong Colorado teams at the Pat Amato Classic.
