PEEC Summer Family Evenings Begin Wednesday June 7

PEEC News:
With summer approaching, PEEC announces the schedule for Summer Family Evenings (SFE).
SFEs take place Wednesdays in June and July at Los Alamos Nature Center. They start at 6 p.m. and provide fun for the whole family. SFEs are free for PEEC member families and $5 for non-member families and admission is paid at the door.
Thanks to the Del Norte LOV Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Del Norte Credit Union, for sponsoring Summer Family Evenings in 2023.

The Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries (FLACL) announce scholarship awards for $2,500 each presented to four high school seniors in May 2023.
The scholarship application process required that they present a written essay on a book that somehow enhanced their life or gave them a better understanding of the human condition. It was a rewarding experience to read the quality of the work that was presented to the committee.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) encourages licensed health care professionals working in New Mexico to apply for its Health Professional Loan Repayment Program, which provides eligible applicants with up to $25,000 in student loan forgiveness.

This event was in collaboration with Los Alamos County Recreation, Teen Court, Library, Police and Social Service departments, while partnering with Los Alamos Middle School, YMCA, JJAB, Youth Activity Center, LANL Foundation and Los Alamos Arts Council.
