The Santa Fe Institute (SFI) will host a community lecture, ‘Visions for the Future of Physics’ with John Baeat 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe.

Suspected Fentanyl Overdose Claims Life Of Local Teen
The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) responded to a White Rock residence early this morning to an unconscious 17-year-old-male.
The officers responded and initiated an unattended death investigation. The deceased male is identified as Miles Weaver.
The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) also responded to the scene. There is evidence to suggest the death was an overdose and Fentanyl is suspected. Official Death results come at the conclusion of the investigation but based on these facts it is imperative that the LAPD issues another Public Safety Statement.

LASG’s Eliana Rodriguez Takes 1st On Vault At Regionals
Eliana Rodriguez traveled to Houston last weekend to represent New Mexico and Los Alamos School of Gymnastics (LASG) in the Region 3 Gymnastics Championships. There were 1,600 Xcel Gold level gymnasts competing from the seven states in Region 3. Rodriguez, a freshman at Los Alamos High School, has been a gymnast at LASG for nearly a decade. SANTA FE — St. John’s College in Santa Fe will hold its 56th Santa Fe commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. today, May 20. Sixty-seven members of the class of 2023 will receive their degrees from the third-oldest college in the country.
