Busy Week Of Activities At Los Alamos High School

It’s a busy week at Los Alamos High School (LAHS) as the fall season wraps up.
Today, boys soccer will be in action against Taos at Sullivan Field, and the volleyball teams will host Pojoaque in Griffith Gymnasium.
Thursday, boys and girls varsity soccer will play against Pojoaque at Sullivan Field while volleyball is serving up games at home against Española.
Friday, the boys and girls cross country teams are hosting their home meet at the Los Alamos County Golf Course. There also will be an Elementary Mile run at 4:45 p.m. Students in kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to participate. Read More

Olions Present A Midsummer Night’s Dream Oct. 28-Nov. 6

The Los Alamos High School Olions are presenting A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Duane Smith Auditorium.
Performances are 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28; 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29; 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults at LAHSOlions.org.

NMPW 2023 Zia Book Award Contest Now Open
NMPW News:
Women authors of children’s and youth books who have a significant connection to New Mexico are encouraged to enter the New Mexico Press Women’s (NMPW) Zia Book Award contest to select the outstanding book for children or young adults.
The award given each year by the New Mexican Press Women at their annual spring conference.
Entries are considered on a rotating three-year cycle. Adult nonfiction books will be eligible in 2024, and adult fiction books will be considered in 2025.
