Los Alamos Police Charge 19-Year-Old Man In Criminal Sexual Abuse Case

The Los Alamos Police Department Criminal Investigations Section is investigating a criminal sexual abuse case involving a child under the age of 13 years that occurred at the Little Forest Playschool in Los Alamos.

LAPD Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 19-year-old William Louis Macinnes, a Los Alamos resident.

Macinnes is being held in the Los Alamos County Detention Center on the following charges:

UNM Lobo Men’s Golf Team Kicking Off 2022/23 Season With Intra-Squad Match At Los Alamos County Golf Course

The UNM Lobo Men’s Golf team will be kicking-off their 2022/2023 season at Los Alamos County Golf Course Monday, Sept. 5, with a media hour and intra-squad match.

Following the intra-squad tournament, the UNM Lobo Men’s Golf Team will play their first NCAA Division 1 tournament Sept. 9, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

UNM Men’s Golf Team will enter the NCAA Division 1 golf season pre-ranked #31 in the nation.

New Mexico has dropped back to 50th for child well-being in the national 2022 KIDS COUNT Data Book rankings, although this ranking isn’t comparable to our 49th ranking last year.

Still, everyone is likely feeling disheartened by this news. However, even though we are ranked last, our state has made incredible long-term progress in improving child well-being, and we can continue to make progress if we put kids at the heart of New Mexico’s future policy decisions.

Ten Wild Horses Brought To Mesalands College For ‘Mustang Turnaround’ Training Program

Ten wild horses from the Carson National Forest just arrived at Mesalands College.

They are part of the training program “Mustang Turnaround”, that focuses on the rehabilitation of horses so that they can be adopted and utilized. This is the second school year of the program’s existence, and the number of horses has doubled!
