Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) teen summer missionaries will be hosting Vacation Bible Schools and 5-Day Bible Clubs in Los Alamos and White Rock in June and July.

These free sessions, for children ages 4-12, will be held Monday through Friday, featuring Bible and missionary stories, games, songs, Scripture memory, crafts, snacks, contests and prizes.

The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) campus has lost a longtime devoted friend due to wind gusts early this evening (link).

This 70-year-old Weeping Willow tree was planted near the corner of the campus by the students of LAHS Homeroom D-2 in the Spring of 1952.

The Giving Tree at Los Alamos High School (LAHS) toppled over around 5:30 p.m. today. Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Divisions have partnered up with the Pararito Astronomers for the Dark Sky/Night program.

Anyone with an interest in star gazing and the chance to look for stars through a telescope is invited to come out tonight to Spirio Soccer Field at Overlook Park in White Rock.

The number of sextortion incidents reported to the FBI in New Mexico since Jan. 1 is on track to surpass last year’s total, reinforcing the need for parents, guardians and teenagers to be aware of this growing online danger.
