ARL Welcomes Researcher-First Policies In Bills To Reauthorize US National Science Foundation

DynaTheater At New Mexico Museum Of Natural History & Science To Reopen With Limited Schedule Thursday

ALBUQUERQUE — Thursday, July 8, the DynaTheater at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science will reopen to the public with a limited schedule and reduced seating.

Operated and supported by the New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation, the DynaTheater will show two films, “Hidden Pacific” at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and “In Saturn’s Rings” at noon and 2 p.m. July 8.

Purchasing tickets online is encouraged. Ticket prices are $7 for adults (ages 18-59), $6 for seniors (ages 60 and older), $5 for children (ages 3-17), and free for ages 2 and younger.

PED Provides Academic Coaching To New Mexico Students

SANTA FE — A Public Education Department (PED) program to prevent students from slipping through the cracks during the pandemic provided free academic coaching to nearly 16,000 students over the last year, and 71 percent of high school seniors in the program graduated.

A report released Thursday also said that since the ENGAGE New Mexico program began in spring 2020:

  • 38,515 students were referred by educators or families;
  • 22,806 families responded to outreach;
  • 15,883 families accepted academic coaching; and
  • The average was 35.5 coaching
