Six Los Alamos High School students have qualified to participate in the International DECA competition.
Logan Black, Cassidy Jimenez, Joshua Moulton, Ella Hailey, Alexander Usov, and Nicholas Usov will compete in the National DECA Testing Event in April at the International Career Development Conference. SANTA FE — The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) and its partners are searching for the final and hardest-to-reach students after months of work to determine that all New Mexico students are safe and receiving education services despite the pandemic.
As of this week, about 2,500 names remained on a list once numbering more than 12,000 of students who were enrolled in public schools last spring but not this fall and were therefore feared to be outside the educational system.

The Los Alamos School Board met for a special meeting Tuesday with the singular focus of discussing the search for a new school superintendent.
The School Board voted 4-1 to engage an executive search firm to assist in the hiring of the new superintendent.

New Mexico Education Secretary Ryan Stewart announced March 8 that New Mexico schools must return to full-time in person learning by April 5.
