The Los Alamos Garden Club announces its 2019 scholarship of $1,500 goes to graduating senior Levi Guarello. Guarello is a three-year letterman in football and a four-year letterman and captain in rugby. He discovered his passion for electronics while taking robotics in high school and as a dual credit through UNM-LA. LACF News:County Seeks Volunteer ‘Actors’ For Emergency Exercise
COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County will be conducting a County-wide active shooter exercise Saturday, May 18 at the University of New Mexico – Los Alamos campus.
The campus will be closed May 18 for the exercise, which is being conducted in order to test and improve the County’s overall preparedness in responding to an active shooter event.
The County is seeking at least 30 volunteers to participate as “actors” in the exercise. Exercise activity will take place over approximately seven hours beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. May 18.
