The Los Alamos History Museum and the Los Alamos Creative District will present a special History Adventures program for 1st through 6th graders the morning of Tuesday, July 17.
Curious Chris will be singing the Symbols of Enchantment, hands-on science songs about New Mexico’s state symbols.

Tobacco Use Among New Mexico High School Students At All-Time Low

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reports that rates of cigarette smoking by New Mexico high school students are lower than ever before – dropping by more than 50 percent over the last decade.
According to data from the 2017 New Mexico Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey (YRRS), youth cigarette smoking has dropped from 24.2 percent in 2007 to nearly one in 10 (10.6 percent) New Mexico high school students in 2017.

A diverse group of participants learned the basics of biotechnology during a four-day bootcamp at Los Alamos Makers at 3540 Orange St. The workshop was made possible with the help of United Way of Northern New Mexico.
