‘Kremlinologist’ At Fuller Lodge Thursday March 29

A new book, “The Kremlinologist” by Jenny Thompson and Sherry Thompson will be the topic for the March Authors Speak lecture at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at Fuller Lodge.

The authors are the daughters of the subject of this biography, “The Kremlinologist – Llewellyn E. Thompson, America’s Man in Cold War Moscow,” and spent eight years of their childhood in Moscow. Published by Johns Hopkins University Press, the book traces the life of their father from boyhood in rural Colorado and New Mexico to U.S. ambassador to the USSR to presidential advisor on Soviet affairs. During the March for Our Lives event Saturday in Santa Fe, three Los Alamos High School students, Sonyia Williams, Leah Wolfsberg and Thomas Chadwick are scheduled to speak and share their thoughts on gun control and school safety.
 
The event begins at noon at the Roundhouse and ends with a rally in the Santa Fe Plaza.

Spring training in Los Alamos has its own meaning—time for new volunteers to learn about Los Alamos history.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, I took my daughter to Chill Zone (yogurt place) in Bernalillo. As we were enjoying our Froyo many students from Los Alamos entered Chill Zone – they literally packed the place. Looks like they ate at Dions Pizza first and then went to Chill Zone for dessert.
