SANTA FE  The School for Advanced Research (SAR) announces its Public Lecture Series, titled Designing the Future.

One effect of a coronal mass ejection (CME) is a sudden decrease in the number of galactic cosmic rays detected, called the Forbush decrease after the scientist who first described it. The Los Alamos High School Homecoming Parade is 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.

Staging begins at 1:30 p.m. at Central Avenue and 4th Street (Canyon Complex).  The parade route will travel west on Central Avenue merging onto Canyon Road.

JJAB Raises $3K For LAPS Student School Supplies

JJAB News:

Thanks to the generosity of community businesses and individuals, the Los Alamos JJAB had a successful summer fundraiser; $3,000 was raised. The money will be used to support the Los Alamos Public Schools and students.

JJAB is now working with the five elementary, middle and high schools to identify student and school supply needs. Once determined, JJAB will purchase the supplies and deliver them directly to the schools.
