Library Summer Reading Program Attracts Family
Esther Smidt of Los Alamos took her five children Tuesday to Mesa Public Library where they signed up and got their passports for the Summer Reading Program, participated in the Music and Movement Program and checked out lots of books. July 4th is only a few short weeks away! Fireworks have been a part of many of our families’ Independence Day celebrations throughout the years. Let’s make sure our community is safe during this holiday season.
People can enjoy fireworks safely if they follow a few simple safety tips.
- Never let children handle, play with or light any fireworks.
- Never place any part of your body directly over a fireworks device when lighting the fuse. Backup to a safe distance immediately after lighting fireworks.
