Unknown to many is that there are a number of beautiful waterfalls in New Mexico, and Doug Scott is the expert on the topic.

Scott will be offering a tour of waterfalls through PEEC on Saturday, May 16 for a small group limited to 10 people. The group will meet at the Los Alamos Nature Center at 7:30 a.m. and will return around 5 p.m. Scott will introduce tour participants to his secret access passages and vantage points for eight beautiful waterfalls within a two-mile radius in the San Pedro Parks Wilderness.

LAMS Students Raise Funds For Teacher Medical Costs

Students at Los Alamos Middle School continue to raise money to help with medical costs for teachers Ryan Finn and Sherri Bublitz as they battle medical ailments.

Choir Director Jason Rutledge and his 85 Los Alamos Middle School and Los Alamos High School students traveled to Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho April 17-18 to compete in the State Championships.

Three choirs performed or competed including; the LAMS Hawk Choir, LAHS Encore and LAHS Schola Cantorum, now 5A State Champions.

Anita Boshier’s German students are flying high academically and one will even be soaring to new heights, literally.

Los Alamos High School had three winners who submitted applications for a potential American Association for Teachers of German (AATG)  study trip to Germany, open to non-seniors.
