ESPAÑOLA — Tuesday evening, the Española Public Schools Board of Education passed a motion to not renew Dr. Daniel Trujillo’s contract as Superintendent of Schools on a 3-2 vote.
Dr. Trujillo has served in the capacity of superintendent since 2013 and previously as an administrator at area schools. He was placed on paid administrative leave Wednesday morning and a special School Board meeting has been called for Monday morning, April 27, to select an interim superintendent.
