The American Association of University Women, AAUW-Los Alamos will hold an Equal Pay Day event at the last indoors Framer’s Market of the season, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today, April 10 at Fuller Lodge.

Los Alamos Public Schools Electrician Back At Work

The longtime Los Alamos Public Schools electrician under investigation surrounding theft allegations last month is back at work.
Wayne Montoya, a technician IV–electrician working out of the Pajarito Cliffs site, told the Los Alamos Daily Post March 7 that the investigation would clear him of any wrongdoing.

Interior Construction Begins at Aspen School
A load of dry wall for interior walls arrives at Aspen Elementary School, 2182 33rd St., which is undergoing major remodeling. The project is expected to be complete in January 2015. For the rest of this school year and continuing into next fall, all classes are being housed in portables next to the construction site. Construction plans call for the new school to be completed in two phases. The first phase renovates a new foyer and remodels the administrative wing. Documentary on Student Stress Shows Again April 17

Los Alamos High School student Tessa Snyder and mentor Margo Batha have arranged a second screening of the documentary film Race To Nowhere.
This shorter version of the film shown last week will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in the LAHS Speech Theater.
The documentary explores the impact of stress on students’ lives.
