WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Tom Udall (D-N.M.) and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) announced that they have secured two provisions in the final FY 2019 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill to protect the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) and its important safety mission.

SANTA FE – Fire managers on the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) plan to take advantage of favorable conditions, including fuel moisture levels, air quality, and winds and weather forecasts to initiate a prescribed burn as early as Sept. 18 through Nov. 16 in the La Jara vicinity on the Cuba Ranger District.
Some 338 acres may be treated in the area just north of the community of La Jara.
