Breaking News: Police Hunt Woman Suspected of Robbing White Rock LANB

(Update 3:10pm with updated suspect description)

LAPD News:

Early police reports indicate that a robbery occurred this afternoon at Los Alamos National Bank in White Rock.

The suspect is believed to be a female Hispanic, 5′ 4″ and wearing Black sweat shirt, gray pants, Logo on shirt, has Blue Star Tattoo on face. Age: mid 20 to 40.

She was last seen headed toward Smith’s Food and Drug Center on Sherwood Boulevard carrying about $4,000 in cash from the bank in a plastic bag.

Heinrich Calls for Sufficient DOE Cleanup Funding

U.S. SENATE News:

Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M. together with Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., sent a letter to President Obama today calling for sufficient funding for DOE’s Defense Environmental Cleanup program in FY2014.

Heinrich asked the president to consider funding two projects that he said are of particular importance to New Mexico.
