Craig ‘Noodles’ Neal Named New Basketball Coach at UNM

UNM News:

New Mexico Associate Head Coach Craig “Noodles” Neal has been tapped to replace Steve Alford as head coach of Lobos Men’s Basketball today.

Neal is entering his sixth season at New Mexico and was named the Lobos’ Associate Head Coach March 27, 2007.

He accepted the top job offer today with gratitude as he choked back tears during a press conference in Albuquerque.

Prior to coming to UNM, Neal, 48, spent three seasons working for Alford at the University of Iowa. Prior to Iowa, Neal spent eight seasons with the NBA’s Toronto Raptors from 1996-2004. Read More

Sports and exercise shouldn’t hurt. For many of us, though, moving our bodies creates symptoms of pain.

The Atomic City Road Runners pace race season opened Tuesday on the Canyon Rim Trail with 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 mile distances available.
 
Elizabeth Turner and Amanda Mercer were the top predictors at 35 seconds off their predicted time as well as fastest female three mile finishers. 
 
Tom Sandford had a 43 second differential and Mary Snow and David Kratzer came in at 53 seconds off.

Liz Lockhart of the  Los Alamos School of Gymnastics Atomic Tumblers became the New Mexico State Level 6 All-around Champion in her division for her performance at the Level 6 State Gymnastics Meet in Albuquerque March 2.
