At this time of year, anglers should consider a trip to Southern New Mexico because most of the small lakes and reservoirs in this part of the state are stocked with catchable-size rainbow trout during the winter months.
Locations that offer a chance at not just stocked trout but larger holdover trout include Grindstone Reservoir near Ruidoso and Lake Robert’s near Silver City. Bonito Lake is open for fishing. SPORTS News:
The Los Alamos High School Hilltopper football team racked up the post-season awards for the 2024 season. The Toppers had 10 All-State selections, and dominated the All-District awards. Akim Leija was also chosen to play in the New Mexico High School Coaches Association ( NMHSCA) Red-Green All-Star game.
The Toppers finished with an 8-4 record and were the 1-5A District Champions. Read More
