With the drop of the puck the Los Alamos Hockey Association 12u team kicked off the Holiday Classic with a loss to the Santa Fe Capitals. Dimitri Lawrence of Los Alamos rallied off a breakaway to put Los Alamos in the lead in the opening minutes with Los Alamos initially controlling play, keeping the puck in the Capital zone.
