Five Secret City Esports Players Sign To Play At NMSU

The three 6th grade classes at Mountain Elementary School have been studying Greek history and as a collimation of their studies had a day of participating in Greek Olympics staged at Urban Park in collaboration with LAHS’s Lori Thompson’s Sports Lit Class to act as teachers of the Ancient Greek Olympic Games. Teddy Atkins was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trail behind the Aquatic Center at 28 seconds off his predicted time. 

Other accurate predictors were Madeline Harms with a 47 second differential, Adrian Medin at 69 seconds off, Warren Scoggins recording a 92 second difference, and Lynn Bjorklund at 97 seconds off as well as the first female finisher in the 5K race at 29:37.

On the paved road 1-mile race Steve Daly was the best finisher with a time 10:52 and Kathy Daly was the top female finisher at 13:34.

Los Alamos Football Club had a fantastic showing at the Mother’s Day tournament on May 10-11 in beautiful Durango, CO. The U12 Boys (2013) LA Lions team continued their recent strong run by staying undefeated in 4 games and winning their Silver bracket on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday the Lions won their first game 5-2 against DC Force with strong performances from Zaiden McClellan (who scored a hat-trick!), Timothy Blair, and James Junghans.
