ESPANOLA — El Agua es Vida (Water is Life) is an evening of theater, dance, live music, and visual art created and performed by Moving Arts students and a cast of intergenerational performers in partnership with the New Mexico Acequia Association. Cowboy Breakfast At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge Sunday July 5

Sheriff’s Posse News:

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse is hosting its monthly Cowboy Breakfast this Sunday, July 5.

The breakfast is served 7-11 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Lodge at 650 North Mesa Road, near the North Mesa Stables.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes:

  • Pancakes – Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Plain;
  • Scrambled eggs;
  • Sausage;
  • Bacon; and
  • Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice.

The price for adults is $10, children 4-10 years of age $5 and those 0-3 are free.

County: 4th Of July Spectacular-2026 Schedule

The 4th of July is almost here, and Los Alamos County is ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. This year’s 4th of July Spectacular will take place 4-10 p.m. Saturday at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Important items to note for this year’s 4th of July Spectacular Event:

The Main event location will be Dara Jones Soccer Field, not Spiro Field;

Spirio Field is closed to pedestrians and spectators;

Only limited Handicapped Parking will be allowed within Overlook Park;

Children’s Parade & Carnival To Be Held On 4th Of July In White Rock

Announcing the exciting return of the community Independence Day Children’s parade and Carnival in White Rock, NM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Activities begin at 10 a.m. with a flag ceremony performed by the JROTC, and children’s parade around the block, led by the Los Alamos Police and Fire department. Children are invited to festively decorate their bikes, trikes, strollers, wagons, scooters, etc. and join the parade!

YMCA To Host July 4th Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run, Community Parade, Announces Road Closures

YMCA News:

The Family YMCA will host its annual Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run and Community Parade on Saturday, July 4. Temporary road closures and traffic control measures will be in place to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.

Canyon Road will be closed from approximately 8-10 a.m., from 15th Street to Central Avenue and continuing to the Los Alamos High School parking lot to Diamond Drive, for the Firecracker 5K Family Fun Run.

Traffic control will also be in place on:

  • 15th Street from Iris Street to Canyon Road; and
  • Canyon Road from Central Avenue to Los Alamos High School.
