What to say about a raunchy, silly, sappy musical in which half the characters are puppets? I loved it. “Avenue Q” opened Friday at Los Alamos Little Theater to raucous laughter and hoots of delight.

For almost 50 years the Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) has hosted an outdoor arts and crafts fair and the tradition continues 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday on the lawn at Fuller Lodge.

While the event features everything from food to entertainment; the big attraction is the art. This year, artist Carla Smith, a newcomer to the fair, will sell her glass mosaics, wall hangings, tables, birdhouses, house numbers and name plaques.

LAHS Olions Present A Midsummer Night’s Dream

This weekend Los Alamos High School presents its annual spring production: A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

It is Shakespeare done in a steampunk style! It will take place at Duane Smith Auditorium, and is the student’s last production of the year.
