The Hive is sponsoring an Arduino microcontroller workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17.

The Hive is at 134 State Road 4 in White Rock (just east of the Metzgers gas station.)

Arduinos are very inexpensive (under $35), easy to configure, and provide a way to interface to common items such as lights, sprinklers, alarm systems, etc. In this first in a series of workshops, the basic concepts will be presented and the basics of programming them will be addressed in a hands-on environment.

Azazo Recycling to Open on Orange Street

Azazo Recycling, LLC announces the coming of a recycling facility to the Los Alamos County area.

 

The facility will be open by mid-June at 3540 Orange St., LV1, behind Los Alamos High School. Azazo Recycling, LLC plans to take in electronic waste (e-waste) and non-ferrous metals from the public for recycling.
