The Los Alamos Cooperative Market is celebrating its 2nd Anniversary Saturday, March 2 and the community is invited to the big event.

The “Heart of the Community at the Edge of Town,” 95 Entrada Dr., is throwing a party with cake, music, youth activities, chair massages and much more!

Most events are scheduled 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with food sampling, deep member discounts and gift bags for people who buy a new, renewed, or upgraded membership Saturday.

DENVER – A new National Park Service report shows that nearly 1.5 million national park visitors in New Mexico in 2011 spent $102 million and supported 1,538jobs in the state.

Nationwide, visitors to the 398 units of the National Park System had a combined $30 billion economic benefit that supported 252,000 jobs.

Six Native American businesses received grants through a new Native American Venture Acceleration Fund created by Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) and the Regional Development Corporation.

 Any discussion of the real estate and the history of our neighborhoods in Los Alamos must begin with the first neighborhood developed in our mountain community – “the Western Area.”

Ruby K’s Bagel Café is about to reach a milestone and achieve a goal. The restaurant is approaching its eighth anniversary and will extend their hours.

Ruby K’s will have its “Eighth Birthday Party Celebration” Feb 22 and 23. The restaurant will serve samples of its new menu items and smoothies.
