‘Small Business Saturday’ and United Way TEAM UP!

The United Way of Northern New Mexico is offering local businesses an opportunity to team with them in a local shopping initiative on Small Business Saturday, to be held Nov. 24.
Businesses who choose to participate will be promoted through local (Los Alamos and Espanola) media, and to all employees at Los Alamos National Laboratory through the employee giving campaign.
Businesses will be asked to contribute a minimum 5 percent of sales to the United Way on that busy shopping day.

The 20/20 Campaign Recognizes Eight High Growth Companies in Northern New Mexico

Eight companies were announced on Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Spirit of Innovation event in Santa Fe as part of the 20/20 Campaign to celebrate small businesses in Northern New Mexico. The event will be held at the Scottish Rite Temple from 6 to 8 p.m. The 20/20 Campaign aims to recognize and support 20 high-growth companies by the year 2020 that are becoming major employers in Northern New Mexico. RDC Receives Excellence in Economic Development Award

Regional Development Corporation received a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for their Accelerate – Technical Training and Job Placement program in the category of Partnerships with Educational Institutions for communities with populations of 200,000 – 500,000 from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
