Los Alamos Taxi: A Solution for Holiday Transportation Needs

Visitors and locals without a car, as well as those that don’t drive used to be in a bind in Los Alamos. There’s no bus service or other transportation available after 7 p.m. or on weekends. Non-drivers who need to leave the Hill to catch a plane or train were also facing a problem. Enter Los Alamos native Cindy Capelli and Los Alamos Taxi. CB FOX co-owner Dave Fox was passing by and stopped to check out the newly installed ‘News from Mars’ display in Central Park Square next to Fusion Multisport in downtown Los Alamos. Downtown Power Outage Affects Business Customers

Power was restored within 20 minutes to most Department of Public Utilities’ customers affected by the downtown electric outage that began just after 1 p.m. Wednesday. 

An underground electric line was hit during construction resulting in an outage along Trinity Drive between Levy Lane at the Century Link Building and DP Road; it also included some businesses on Nectar Street and 15th Street.

Owner Says Los Alamos Subway Opening Late January

The owner of the Subway restaurant on Central Avenue told the Los Alamos Daily Post Tuesday afternoon that he will open for business in late January.
 
Larry Singh explained that renovation and remodeling underway since early summer has been extensive in the former Don Taylor Photography space just east of 15th Street.
